Position : Test Automation (QTP) – Lead
Location : Bangalore
Job details overview :
Candidates should have strong testing concepts and should have worked in QTP automation Projects for more than 2 years. The candidate should have involved in automation framework design and should have created reusable components. Demonstrated ability to sign-off on test artifacts like test plans, automation design, and code. Demonstrated experience in effectively combine’s test cases to reduce execution time and ability to identify automation opportunities Familiar with databases, SQL and reporting Experience in handling a team of at least 6 to 10 people Experience with full life cycle for multiple versions of a commercial software product Experience in facing the customer which includes meetings, technical discussions, issue management Demonstrates expertise in test automation tools, techniques and methodologies and Custom test harness development best practices Demonstrates experience in Test code coverage tools, techniques and methodologies Should have knowledge about complete SDLC and good familiarity with agile development methods Proficient in use of Office productivity tools
Role Details
Does test planning, test case design with white-box orientation, i.e. to improve functional and code coverage Drives spec quality and recommends design/process changes Identifies feature areas whose coverage would require support from Developers and makes appropriate suggestions for improved testability Writes high quality feature level test plan w.r.t. functional spec Performs debug/triage by reviewing design/code to pin-point problems Performs automation strategy when/what/how to automate, tool/harness selection and/or enhancement Assists in proof-of-concept projects for automation strategy assignments Plans test automation activities design, coding, packaging, and maintenance Creates requirement specifications and design documents for test automation framework based on Commercial or Open Source automation tools Customizes 3rd party automation tools by designing/writing plug-ins if required Write high quality test cases that find high quality bugs and that can be automated and guides team members on how to write such test cases Designs and develops scripts/code of high quality (ensures it works at customer location as well) Perform application debugging as appropriate which is required for additional information for bugs Works towards achieving improved functionality test coverage and code coverage through review and test design Takes ownership of quality of all deliverables including documentation: completeness, clarity, accuracy, easy to understand, timeliness. Ensure that all project records are maintained as per defined processes
